Typographical Conventions
When reading the technical reference manual, it’s important to under-
stand the symbol and formatting conventions used in the documentation.
The following symbols and formatting are used in the manual.
Convention Type of Information
Indicates a note which
contains important
information set off from the normal text.
A caution message that appears before proce-
dures which, if not observed, could result in
loss of data or damage to the equipment.
Bold
type An action you must perform such as type or
select.
Monospaced font
Information and menus that are visible on the
Console Port screens.
